Rovio won’t like it, a Chinese amusement park has built a brilliant but unauthorized park attraction based on our Angry Birds friends.

Players sling the familiar plush Angry Birds toys (official and probably made in China) using a giant slingshot to knock down giant inflatable pig balloons. Coming after the popular Angry Birds Vodafone shoot in Barcelona maybe this will give Rovio execs even more ideas for world domination, Angry Bird Theme Parks?

Seriously though for Rovio this is really interesting. It bodes well for Angry Birds in China where the market is huge in China. They can build a billion dollar business around only one game it seems and there is no end to the marketing possibilities.

The Chinese amusement park is putting so much energy into creating this Angry Birds attraction, maybe Rovio is onto something. Angry Birds is mega in China, and it only just got introduced. If Angry Birds becomes more popular to a new generation of Chinese children than Micky Mouse, then maybe its watch out Disney!

It’s brilliant but its an Angry Birds dilemma none the less. The Chinese company has stolen the Angry Birds format to create their own real life game and not paid a penny for it, surely Rovio must sue to protect their brand. If they don’t , they create an unthinkable precedent in China where copycat counterfeiters abound. If they however, they become seen as evil pigs. The thing is — this attraction looks cool, really cool so its great brand-building.

Listen up Rovio, this is great stuff, if you haven’t already sent send an exec to China with a lawyer to negotiate a deal to bring the Chinese amusement park into the Angry Birds fold do it NOW then offer this fantastic fun game to the 1000’s of leisure parks all around the world, With luck it could be coming to an amusement park near you!

Can’t wait til I go down on to my local fair and sling a plush Angry Bird doll and with luck knock , down a balloon green pig.
